After finishing my higher secondary schoolings, in velammal,mogappair i was very much determined not to join this college, but fate was very unkind to me. We make our own fortunes and we call them fate, so there's ntg much to complain and if at all i am going to do, then to whom? I entered this college without much expectation, all i wanted is to let these 4 years pass on me. All i know abt this college was,"its one hell and gonna tear me pieces apart", but unlike fate, the college was very kind to me,thank god, its not as strict as my school. Theory is when everything is known and nothing works. Practice is when everything works and nobody knows why. In velammal, theory and practice are united: nothing works and nobody knows why. Thats how academics go in velammal and except first sem we weren't that much bothered about exams. 80% of the final exam questions will be based on the one lecture that we missed and the one topic we didn't studied. So from second sem onwards, we decided to study nothing and give much more choices for professors who set question papers. Classes are made to enjoy and life had nothing to acheive. There was no target, no pressure, nothing and life was like a piece of cake, with no one to eat. ORKUT occupied most part of our lives and a day without chatting was treated like curse. "hi" for known friends and "hey, u fan of dravid? cool me too", " i saw ur post in that community, schumacher is no better that mika hakkinen", "i saw ur post in this community, Nadal never lose in Rolland Garros, just see", for unknown friends.My profile saw atleast 10 friend requests either way a day and the best part was an average of 4 was accepted, mainly coz of my tactics. 3 movies a day become usual and a day without movie is unusual. “Anyone who tries to make a distinction between education and entertainment doesn't know the first thing about either”, those words marked true in those days, with latter being more potent.Then came Placementz and Days moved at a speed, little faster than light and whatever blunders we did hit us like thunders.The only thing that was in my mind was, to get selected in the first company.Coz who wait for second company and wait for 10 more days, i aint dare to lose those holidays. No matter its TCS, WIPRO or a small XXX company. Unfortunately i got selected and the first question my class teacher asked was,"Hey, How u got selected?". The only answer is "am finding it yet". Getting placed in a company was no good to me, i become even more lazy. It was like a license to enjoy more, but we didnt/couldn't........COZ of RECESSION. Infact Recession and inflation made Indians stronger, before 10 years it would take 4-5 people to carry vegetables bought for RS.300, but now even a kid can do it. But,thats how life works and it should be. UPs and Downs are part of life, one should be ready to conquer both. I always say this to me, when i am in a tough situation......"Never let anything to conquer U".....Uh ha, my caption for next post is ready!!!!! its none other than the one ABOVE.
